High-Purity Boron Nitride Paint
|
Description : TYPE BN
Hi-Purity Boron Nitride Paint is an economical, non-flammable,
water-based, high-purity formulation specifically designed to: -
Be used like ordinary house paint, which can be applied by
air-spraying, dipping or brushing to yield very thin to very thick
coatings and - Bond to most any porous or nonporous material,
such as graphite, ceramics, and metals.
TYPE BN Hi-Purity
Paint has found wide use as an anti-stick release agent and as a
crucible/mold coating as well as most any use where a high-purity
coating is demanded. Yields greater than 98% BN upon
firing.
|
|
TYPE BN Hi-Purity Paint is recommended for
vacuum or inert atmospheres. Upon heating to above 600 C, the binder
phase decomposes to form glassy carbon, which provides the
high-temperature adherence. If heated to above 600 C in an oxidizing
atmosphere, the coating can become softer, exhibiting reduced
adherence and abrasion resistance.

Use Instruction
1. Resuspend by shaking or
rolling. 2. Clean surfaces of grease, dirt and loose
materials. 3. Apply by brush or spray. 4. Air dry. 5. Place
into use.
NOTE: Recommended for vacuum and inert
atmospheres. Becomes softer, with reduced adherence, if used in
oxidizing atmospheres above 600 C. |
