BNA Paste
BNA
Paste is a non-aqueous-based paste usable in all atmospheres and can
be applied as thick layers or brushed like house paint. Yields over
95% BN after heating to 800 C in air. May be used in all atmospheres
(air as well as inert or vacuum) to the normal temperature limits of
boron nitride ˆ air, 1000-1100 C; vacuum, 1400 C; inert, 1800 C
[limited due to sublimation, although higher temperatures have been
attained]. BNA PASTE provides highly chemically resistant,
thermally-conductive/electrically-insulating Boron Nitride and is
suitable for typical areas-of-use of Boron Nitride - Melting and
casting Al, Mg, Zn - Ceramic hot-pressing - Decanning for hot
isostatic-pressing - Composite forming - Glass forming -
Superplastic forming of titanium - Diffusion bonding -
Extrusions - Braze stop-off/weld spatter release
